RVCS Development Committee Meeting

The Development Committee met on October 7, 2025. After calling the meeting to order and recording attendance, the committee approved the prior meeting minutes. The committee reviewed the Birdhouse Back-to-school event and agreed that Marianne C. will write thank-you notes to family and community contributors.

The group focused on planning the 2025–2026 Annual Fund. The committee selected the theme "All hands on deck..." and agreed to call volunteers 'team members.' They approved a recruitment approach (solicit interest at the upcoming Wednesday meeting) and reviewed a volunteer message and task list (personalized letters, follow-up, thank-you notes, and ambassador duties). The committee scheduled an Annual Fund Volunteer Training Night for Thursday, November 6, 6:00–7:30 PM to orient volunteers and distribute mailing collateral. Elizabeth will assist Karen with photo selection and recruit Jane to confirm photo print permissions; Ann Marks has been contacted to design the appeal piece and the group discussed paper weight and mail requirements that need further investigation.
