The Commission approved NOI 002-1343 for 26 Merrimac St. with NHESP conditions and granted a Certificate of Compliance (RCOC 002-1194) for 460 Main St. Emergency tree-removal certifications at 10 Pinewood Rd and 54 Pleasant Valley Rd were ratified, a one-year extension to OOC 002-1259 for 77 Macy St was approved, and the Commission authorized an appraisal expenditure for 128 Kimball Rd to support a Drinking Water Supply Protection grant application.
The Conservation Commission reviewed several permit actions and administrative requests. The Commission approved the Notice of Intent NOI 002-1343 for 26 Merrimac Street with the NHESP special conditions and performance-standards narrative incorporated into the Order of Conditions; DEP and NHESP comments had been addressed and revised plans include mitigation plantings and compensatory flood volume measures. A Request for Certificate of Compliance (RCOC 002-1194) for work at 460 Main Street was approved after a site visit confirmed substantial compliance. The Commission ratified two Emergency Certifications authorizing hazardous tree removals at 10 Pinewood Road and 54 Pleasant Valley Road based on arborist assessments.
The Commission also handled permit-adjacent items: it approved a one-year extension to Order of Conditions 002-1259 for 77 Macy Street to allow remaining landscaping to be completed in the next growing season, and it authorized payment for an appraisal needed to support the City’s Drinking Water Supply Protection grant application for 128 Kimball Road. Commissioners discussed the Meadowbrook solar site conceptually and suggested requesting an ANRAD and peer review of stormwater management; Acting Chair Zackon will draft a letter requesting an ANRAD.
