The Amesbury Conservation Commission is responsible for the protection, promotion and development of the City's natural resources and implementation of environmental protection regulations in the city.

Major hearings continued to August (including the Rocky Hill NOI); the Commission approved a Certificate of Compliance for 28 Lake Attitash Road, issued negative RDA findings for Deer Island and 7 Birch Lane (driveway paving), lifted the Lions Mouth Road enforcement order, and received an informational update on the 27 Kimball Road (40B) proposal and its wetland impacts.

Conservation Commission continued multiple Notices of Intent including Elm Street and Lake Attitash properties, approved an RDA for 29 Water Street with conditions, issued an OOC for 30 Lake Attitash Road and COCs for 58 Lake Attitash Road and a partial COC for 2 Merrimac Street, selected Stantec for stormwater peer review of the 28 Haverhill Road proposal, and approved an amendment to the Lions Mouth Road Enforcement Order.

Major items included review of an RDA for conversion of the brick mill at 29 Water Street (Commission flagged floodplain and riverfront concerns and indicated an NOI/Special Permit and site review are appropriate), a substantial NOI for 28 Haverhill Road (Commission voted to require a combined stormwater and wetlands peer review), and issuance of a Partial Certificate of Compliance for work at 101-107 Market Street.
