ORDER FOR JOINT OR IDENTICAL POLE LOCATIONS

This is a location order authorizing National Grid and Verizon New England, Inc. to relocate Pole 4 on Bay Street by about four feet to create space for an anchor and guy wire serving Dewey Street. The work includes moving a dead tree guy, which is dead and to be removed by the customer, and allowing underground laterals for connections to poles and buildings. Following notice and a public hearing, Amesbury’s City Council approves joint or identical pole locations in the Bay Street public way and sets basic construction requirements: poles must be sound timber, placed at indicated points, and wires must be no less than 20 feet above ground. The order also reserves space for one cross-arm on each pole for municipal wires used exclusively for municipal purposes.
