The City of Amesbury is updating its Traffic and Parking Regulations by renaming Schedule I Parking to Schedule I Parking (Permit/Restricted Parking) and revising permit statuses for municipal lots. The updated schedule designates which lots require permits and the hours they apply, covering parcels such as Upper and Lower Mill Yard, City Hall, Friend Street, School Street, Lake Gardner, Washington Landing, and the Secured Police Parcel, with commercial parking to be designated annually by the Clerk and two police business spots noted. The ordinance also updates Article XIII - Penalties and Fines to establish a comprehensive fee schedule for parking permit violations by residential and commercial vehicles, including defined penalties and daily offense rules. The changes become effective 15 days after adoption.
