Mayor waives charter provisions to appoint Christopher Lane as associate member of Amesbury's Design Review Committee for a term ending Feb 29, 2028. Lane currently serves on the Amesbury Historical Commission and would act as a liaison between the Historical Commission and the Office of Community & Economic Development to streamline project reviews.
Christopher Lane
Christopher Lane is a Principal Architect at Finegold Alexander with 30 years of experience in historic preservation and adaptive reuse. He is a registered architect in Massachusetts (No. 50513) and MCPPO-certified, with leadership roles on notable preservation projects for Historic New England, the Boston Opera House, and several libraries. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Wentworth Institute of Technology and an Associate of Science in Cultural, Institutional & Civic Architecture Technology from New Hampshire Technical Institute.
The Mayor appoints Christopher Lane, AIA, MCPPO, as an associate member of the Design Review Committee for Amesbury. Lane's current service on the Amesbury Historical Commission and his regular attendance at DRC meetings provide a basis for his appointment to facilitate collaboration between the Historical Commission and the Office of Community & Economic Development, helping to speed review of development and preservation projects. The appointment runs through February 29, 2028 and becomes effective after filing with the City Clerk per the charter waiver.
