Healthcare professional with an Associate in Physical Therapist Assistant, a Bachelor’s in Exercise Science, and a Master’s in Health Law and Policy. Former acute‑care physical therapist assistant at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Lowell General Hospital; has held roles in compliance/contract management and is currently Director of Operations for a home care agency and outpatient clinic in Methuen.
The City of Amesbury appoints Jarod LaVarnway to serve as a member of the Board of Health for a term ending February 29, 2028. The appointment is made by the Mayor through a Certificate of Appointment and does not require City Council involvement. The appointment takes effect 21 days after filing with the City Clerk, in accordance with the Amesbury Home Rule Charter. LaVarnway brings healthcare operations and health-policy experience to the Board to support public health decisions across the city.
