The City of Amesbury will expand its Community Preservation Committee (CPC) from seven to nine voting members. It adds one member from the Amesbury Housing Trust and increases public representation from two to three with Mayor-appointed terms. Public members will have staggered initial terms (1, 2, and 3 years) transitioning to 3-year terms, while the Housing Trust member will have an initial 2-year term followed by 3-year terms. The change enhances representation for housing and community preservation while maintaining governance under MA General Law. The ordinance takes effect upon passage.
