Amesbury Cultural Council Cultural Center Subcommittee
The subcommittee will review an updated proposal for use of the Cultural Center, including cleaning options (schedule, adhoc needs, vendors and costs) and discuss fees for renting the Gallery Unit.
The Cultural Center Subcommittee met to continue developing a draft proposal for use of the Cultural Center space. Members agreed to allow food in the facility and to establish shared Google Calendar access for bookings (to include the ACC, the Library, and Victoria Feger). The group discussed cleaning needs and cost factors and tasked Bonnie Brady with exploring cleaning options; Laura Schofield was asked to research rental fees and policies at comparable spaces. The subcommittee also decided to convene monthly moving forward.
The meeting included discussion of possible events, broader visioning for the space, and ways to involve the community in those discussions. The subcommittee planned to present the DRAFT proposal to the full Amesbury Cultural Council at its meeting on Feb. 10, 2026. There were no public comments recorded. Minutes from the prior meeting were moved and seconded and approved unanimously.
