RVCS Foundation - FY26 #2

The Foundation Committee met remotely on January 15, 2026. After recording attendance, the committee voted to approve the prior meeting’s minutes. The bulk of the meeting consisted of a Development Committee update covering the annual fund and an upcoming Read-a-thon.

On the annual fund the committee reported fundraising has become more personal and has raised over $6,200 so far; the campaign will continue through the school fiscal year end (June 30). Members noted larger gifts coming in, discussed cycles of giving (year-end, spring bonuses) and timing distribution of materials to align with those spikes; a question was raised about employer matching. DonorPerfect was reported to be functioning well. For the Read-a-thon, staff are teaching Maryanne how the website works, documenting tasks to enable coverage by multiple people, planning meetings with grade-level coordinators to engage teachers more directly, and seeking greater middle school participation. The committee also noted plans to review the development plan, prepare an end-of-year review, and create more reception opportunities. There were no public comments recorded and no substantive policy, budget, ordinance, or appointment votes taken during this meeting.
