Library Board of Trustees Fundraising Ad-Hoc Subcommittee Meeting
Friends selected Little Green Light as the donor management software; the Library's Charitable Trust will accept cash and check donations into an unrestricted trust; the committee set a target to have an Annual Giving Campaign ready for Giving Tuesday (12/2/2025).
The fundraising ad-hoc subcommittee focused on preparations for an Annual Giving Campaign and on selecting donor management software. The Friends of the Library voted unanimously to proceed with Little Green Light after a review of donor software options; Anna reported Little Green Light was the most affordable option. The Amesbury Public Library Charitable Trust told subcommittee members it is willing to accept cash and check donations to place into an unrestricted trust to support fundraising, but currently cannot accept other payment forms; Aimie will follow up to determine whether the Trust will invest the funds.
Discussion centered on campaign scope and logistics: the group confirmed a target to be ready for Giving Tuesday on December 2, 2025, and agreed on a multi-pronged approach combining email, social media asks and a mailed letter. Friends will assemble email and mailing lists and collaborate with Trustees, who will also use their contact lists; Aimie, Alyson and Jen will draft a cohesive, impact-focused message (with the working theme noted as “Give Where You Live”), and Anna will obtain the city head-of-household list. No public comment was recorded.
