Project details

Port Signworks, on behalf of Low & Slow — Southern Kitchen and Tap, has applied for a sign permit to install three signs on the storefront at 11 Elm Street. The proposal includes a hanging sign (30" x 13") mounted from an existing bracket above the main door, and two direct-mounted wall signs: a 120" x 14" sign above the storefront windows and a 30" x 22" sign above the secondary door. Materials are specified as HDU foam for the hanging sign and aluminum composite (ACM) for the two wall signs. The three signs combine to roughly 19 square feet, and the application indicates they will not be illuminated.

The property is in the Downtown Business District (DBD) and the application notes that a Massachusetts Historical Commission approval letter is required for properties in the historic area. The application will be reviewed by the Design Review Committee followed by the Planning Board; if the Planning Board approves the sign design, a building permit from the Inspectional Services Department is required before installation.
