The City of Amesbury approves a perpetual utility easement on its 10 Water Street property for Massachusetts Electric Company and Verizon New England, Inc. to install and maintain an overhead electric and telecommunications system. The easement covers up to three poles and related wires and equipment, enabling electric and telephone service to the Grantor’s property and others as part of a broader National Grid voltage conversion project. The grant includes access for installation, maintenance, relocation and necessary excavations; changes to locations require mutual written consent. The Grantees will bear applicable costs, including taxes, and the city receives nominal consideration of $1.
The Mayor is authorized to execute the Grant of Easement on behalf of the City.
