An Order to authorize the Mayor to accept and expend a grant in the amount of $40,000.00 from the Executive Office for Administration and Finance FY25 Community Compact Cabinet’s (CCC) Information Technology grant program.

The City of Amesbury is authorizing the Mayor to accept a $40,000 grant from the FY25 Community Compact Cabinet Information Technology grant program to fund cybersecurity improvements for the City and its Schools. The funds will be used to purchase one year of Trend Micro Vision One Managed Detection and Remediation, a cyber-defense platform that monitors email, cloud environments, and devices, blocks malicious activity, and isolates suspicious activity for analysis. The grant documents require compliance with Massachusetts General Laws, including GL c. 40A, §3A, and the MBTA Communities Act.
