Mel Webster — Community Preservation Committee (CPC)
The Mayor appoints Mel Webster to Amesbury's Community Preservation Committee as a member. The term ends February 28, 2025 and the appointment takes effect 21 days after filing with the City Clerk. No City Council vote is required.

Mel Webster is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts and an entrepreneur who has started two businesses. He has broad public service experience, including 19 years on school committees in two communities, and has led major school construction and athletic facilities projects.
This Certificate of Appointment certifies the Mayor's appointment of Mel Webster as a member of the Community Preservation Committee (CPC) for a term ending February 28, 2025. The appointment becomes effective 21 days after filing with the City Clerk in accordance with the Amesbury Home Rule Charter and does not require a City Council vote. Webster brings leadership, project management, and public-service experience to the CPC, including background in school governance and community facilities development.
