It authorizes the Fire Chief or Police Chief to designate fire lanes on commercial or public property with signs or pavement markings in accordance with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), ensuring clear emergency access. Violations will be enforced under the city’s existing Traffic and Parking regulations, with vehicle owners held prima facie responsible if the driver cannot be identified. The measure takes effect upon passage to improve emergency response access citywide.
