The City of Amesbury is authorizing the Mayor to accept and expend a grant of $840,000 from the Massachusetts Seaport Economic Council for the Washington Landing Maritime Support Facility project. The funding will support shoreline restoration and improvements, including a boat ramp replacement with stormwater treatment, a new landside boardwalk, a gangway and dock for transient vessels, and parking area enhancements adjacent to the living shoreline. The award is conditional on zoning compliance with Chapter 40A, Section 3A multifamily zoning requirements, and a contract must be executed with EOED by December 31, 2024 before project work proceeds.
