The Amesbury City Council is asked to grant joint or identical locations for the installation of three utility poles (poles #60-50, #62, and #63) along South Hunt Road near the Buttonwood Road intersection. Massachusetts Electric Company d/b/a National Grid and Verizon New England, Inc. petition to erect and maintain poles, wires, and fixtures, including necessary sustaining and protecting fixtures, with underground laterals for distribution connections. The order requires the poles to be erected substantially in accordance with the attached plan, with wires at a minimum height of 20 feet, and it reserves space on each pole for municipal cross-arm wires used for fire, police, and telegraph services. A public hearing was held, and the petition filed December 6, 2023, was approved as an order granting the requested pole locations, subject to compliance with the plan and notice provisions.
