An Order to authorize the Mayor to accept and expend a Public Health Excellence (PHE) for Shared Services Grant from the Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services Department of Public Health for 3 fiscal years (FY25-FY27) in the amount of $486,497.32 for each of the 3 years of the contract for the PHE program.
Amesbury is authorized to accept a 3-year grant for Public Health Excellence for Shared Services from the state. Amesbury will coordinate a regional group of towns to expand public health capacity. Grant funds will be used to support inter-municipal public health services.

The City of Amesbury is authorized to accept and expend a 3-year Public Health Excellence for Shared Services Grant from the Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services Department of Public Health, for FY25-FY27, in the amount of $486,497.32 per year. Amesbury will continue to serve as the lead municipality in a regional consortium that includes Georgetown, Groveland, Merrimac, Newbury, Newburyport, Rowley, and West Newbury. The program aims to promote cross-jurisdictional sharing of public health resources to strengthen local capacity and compliance with state public health mandates. The grant funds will be used to support inter-municipal shared health services among the participating communities. The Mayor is authorized to execute any documents necessary to implement the grant for the FY25-FY27 term.
