Board of Health Meeting
Board will vote on whether to adopt a revised public health fee schedule at the November 18, 2025 meeting; the Board is also working with MVPHA to obtain Department of Public Health guidance as it revises its rules and regulations.
The Board met in person on September 16, 2025. The meeting included a presentation by Ron Beauregard from the Massachusetts Tobacco Program to orient newer members to tobacco-control work, review of monthly staff reports from environmental and nursing staff, and administrative updates on ongoing projects. The Board approved the August 19, 2025 minutes by motion.
Key actions recorded included scheduling a vote on a revised fee schedule for the November 18, 2025 meeting; continuing a rules-and-regulations revision effort with Erica from MVPHA to secure Department of Public Health guidance prior to pursuing adoption; and assigning Aaron to work with the Communications Director to publish and keep city health information current on the municipal website. The Board also reported that no rat-control company has been hired and that rat sightings/complaints have been nearly non-existent. No substantive ordinance votes, project approvals, or permit decisions were taken at this meeting.
