Zoning Board of Appeals Meeting
Approved a Special Permit/Finding for an addition at 18 Woodlawn St (potential setback encroachment), contingent on a legal opinion from Kopelman & Paige.
The Zoning Board of Appeals met on August 22, 2024. The primary substantive item was a public hearing on an application by Micah Donahue (represented by Rachel Harris) for a Special Permit/Finding to allow construction of an addition at 18 Woodlawn St that could encroach into the required setback under the Table of Dimensional Use Regulations.
During the hearing Member Charles Bassler disclosed prior business dealings with the presenting architect; no members of the public objected to his participation. The Board reviewed the application, the Chair read the Summary of Findings, and then moved to approve the Special Permit/Finding. The vote was unanimous (4-0). The approval was issued with a stipulation that the project is subject to a legal opinion from the city’s attorney, Kopelman & Paige. No other substantive public comments, debates, or additional agenda items were recorded.
