Board of Assessor's Meeting
The Board will review and sign excise and tax-related documents including the 2026 boat excise commitment book, motor vehicle excise tax abatements (Jan 2026), 2026 sewer warrants, and PILOT warrants for Kearsage Amesbury LLC and Amesbury Housing Authority. The board will also review approved exemption packets and a tax deferral certificate.
The Board of Assessors met on February 3, 2026. Present were Board members Emily Behn, Thatcher Kezer, and Crystal Hall, Assistant Assessor Bruce Collins, and Head Assessor John Greeno. The board opened the meeting and proceeded through a series of assessor administrative items.
The board voted unanimously to accept the first Boat Commitment Book for 2026 and to accept Boat Abatement Reports (February 1–15, 2026) and Motor Vehicle Abatement Reports (January 1–30, 2026 and February 1–5, 2026). The board was also presented with a corrected 2026 Sewer Warrant and PILOT warrants for Kearsage Amesbury LLC and the Amesbury Housing Authority, and those items were reviewed and accepted as presented. There was no public comment. The board voted to enter Executive Session under Massachusetts General Law Chapter 30A, Section 2(f) to review executive minutes and under Chapter 30A, Section 21(a), Purpose 7 to discuss non-public records.
