Board of Assessors Meeting
The board will review and sign motor vehicle excise tax abatements and uncollectable excise tax records, and consider the Fifth Motor Vehicle Commitment Book of 2024. The agenda also includes discussion of release of Chapter land, real estate tax exemption applications, and a 3ABC application.
The Board of Assessors met on October 29, 2024 at 5:30 PM in the City Hall Assessor’s Office with members Emily Behn and Thatcher Kezer and Chief Assessor Diana Caswell present. The Board opened the meeting, reviewed and approved the September 24, 2024 open session minutes, and reviewed and accepted Motor Vehicle Abatement Reports covering October 1–4, October 7–21, and October 22–29, 2024. There was no public comment.
The Board voted to enter Executive Session under Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30A, Section 2(f) to review executive minutes and under Chapter 30A, Section 21(a), Purpose 7 to discuss non-public records. The Board entered Executive Session at 5:38 PM, reconvened the open meeting at 6:43 PM, and adjourned at 6:44 PM. The next meeting was scheduled for December 2, 2024 at 5:30 PM.
