Historical Commission
The Historical Commission's purpose is to preserve and protect significant buildings or structures in the City which constitute or reflect distinctive features of the architectural, cultural, political, economic or social history of Amesbury. The Commission's primary responsibility is to review applications for demolition of buildings in the City to determine their significance.

Public hearings and permit reviews for historic preservation at 9 Oakland Street, 29 Water Street (eligibility determination), 2-4 Elmwood (final review), and 14 Maple Street (continued final review and vote). The commission will also review a redlined bylaw with proposed modifications.
APR 2
Historical Commission Meeting
The commission will consider a demolition-permit significance determination for 2 Macy Street, review a Historic Preservation Special Permit and preservation restriction vote for 19 Prospect Street, and hear a preliminary presentation for 29 Water Street. Final reviews and votes on preservation restrictions are scheduled for 13 School Street and 14 Maple Street, with initial review of 2-4 Elmwood and a bylaw discussion also on the agenda.

Historical Commission Meeting
The commission will consider historic-preservation matters at 19 Prospect Street (determination of historic eligibility) and 40 Prospect Street (occupancy permit and review of executed preservation restriction). The agenda also includes a discussion of the Demolition Bylaw.
