The Mayor of Amesbury issues a Certificate of Appointment to name election workers who will staff polling places for Amesbury's General Election on November 5, 2024. The document lists dozens of individuals who are appointed to serve as election workers for the term that ends after the election. The Certificate notes that the appointees are qualified to perform the duties and that the appointment becomes effective 21 days after filing with the city clerk, per the Amesbury Home Rule Charter, and that if there are not enough workers three weeks before the election, the clerk may fill vacancies without regard to party affiliation.
